CENTENARY YEAR
In January 2010 we started celebrating the 100 years since our school was opened. To mark the occasion we planned a number of special events to take place across the whole of this year. A working party was set up to organise the various activities and we held a service in the parish Church during January to launch the celebrations. Our Headteacher, Mrs Evans, invited past Headteachers, members of staff and all those who had been involved with our school.
We were eager to find lots of information about the school and welcomed help from local residents, former pupils and historians. Lots of people brought in old photographs and memoribilia of the school. Mrs Goding, our Deputy Headteacher, has been very busy co-ordinating the events and overseeing activities. Members of staff and pupils alike have worked hard to make this an exciting year to remember. We have recorded our own school song, had an exhibition in the school hall, a themed tea party and later in the year we will be burying a time capsule.
