Many teams from local schools gathered at the fantastic AFCB football facility at Long lane on Thursday for an afternoon filled with non-stop matches.

I was impressed by the football skills and match play from all the girls, who played with confidence and courage as they faced some strong and physical teams. They listened to coaching and our defensive line improved with time but more importantly they loved every minute on the pitch and supported each other. 

Although this time we came away without medals, it was a fun and nice experience for the girls as they played energetically and enthusiastically throughout the tournament.

“I felt that we all had a chance to play and show our talents as we developed good team play to add to our skill improvement,” said Sophie M.
